 About the Breed

The Siberian cat is a medium to large cat that has a very  strong majestic look with a rounded body reminiscent of a barrel and heavily boned legs to support the substantial body structure. The males are larger than the females. The overall impression of the mature Siberian is one of the balance, circles and roundness.

They have a waterproof coat consisting of 3 layers but i have found it easy to maintain  as they only moult 2 twice a year.

They are very good jumpers due to their strong hindquarters and love to be around you watching your every move.

They are slow to mature taking around 5 years to be full grown. They are very gentle cats that love to play and can be taught to walk on a lead and play fetch.

They are very dog-like in their personalities and love their cuddles and also  great with children ,dogs and other cats even of different breeds and will entertain you with their clown-like antics.

The Siberian cat is said to be hypoallergenic. This doesn’t mean it entirely doesn’t cause allergies. Instead, it produces fewer allergens than other cat breeds. The level of allergens vary from a cat to another, and that’s why it is generally advised to meet with a breeder before adopting a Siberian if you are allergic to cats.
